Rebecca Estes Cox Grider, 72, wife of Daniel Grider, died Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2018, at Frankfort Regional Hospital.

Born on Aug. 13, 1946, in Woodford County, she was the daughter of the late Lena Evelyn Blackburn and James W. “Happy” Estes. She was a graduate of Woodford County High School and attended Sullivan University. She had been a clerk at Rite-Aid and Kmart.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a stepdaughter, Angela (Joel) Dunmire, Frankfort; a brother, Mike (Michelle) Estes, Florida; a cousin, Pat Johns, Ohio; four grandchildren, Robert Robertson, Frankfort; Caitlin Reed, Lawrenceburg; Eric Thompson, Frankfort; and David Owen Cox, and two great-grandchildren, McKynlee and Landon Hemard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three children, Lisa, Debbie and David Cox, a half-brother, Ralph E. Stansell, and a grandson, Ryan Reed.

Services were conducted Wednesday, Sept. 5, at Blackburn and Ward Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Joel Dunmire, Robert Robertson, John Munro, Jerry VanPelt, Tony Haynes and Gilbert C. Blades III. Honorary pallbearer was Eric Thompson. Burial followed at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Memorial donations may be made in her name to Bluegrass Hospice Care, 663 Teton Trail, Frankfort, Ky., 40601.
