Middleton seeks council seat
Tim Middleton has announced his candidacy for the Versailles City Council for the Nov. 6 general election.
In a statement, Middleton said:
“I am a lifelong resident of Versailles except for a couple of years I lived in Frankfort while teaching there.
“I am a graduate of Woodford County High School, Kentucky State University, and the University of Kentucky. I have been working with kids as well as adults most of my adult life.
“I served on the state library board of directors and the Woodford County Library board of directors. I was also one of the founding members of the Woodford County Roots and Heritage Committee, and served on that board for five years. I just began my 22nd year as a high school teacher at Martin Luther King Academy, an alternative school in the Fayette County system.
“I am a concerned citizen who just wants to do the right thing for the people of Versailles. My major concerns are the youth of Versailles, fiscal management, and that all citizens have a voice. If elected, my job will be to serve the people of Versailles, not my own interests.”
