Request to amend permit on BOA agenda

The owner of a dog breeding and training business, who wants to amend a conditional-use permit, is scheduled to present her request to the Board of Adjustment Monday, Sept. 10, at 6:30 p.m. in the second-floor courtroom of the Woodford County Courthouse. Instead of constructing a new 10,000 square-foot building as originally requested, Kathy Burgess (GoldenQuest, LLC) wants approval to add two buildings (of 8,000 and 1,000 square feet) to support her existing business needs at 12641 Troy Pike.

Variance request

John Vance and Jan Smith are seeking an 11-foot front yard setback variance at 2064 Rose Bay Road in order to place a 48-inch high fence 19 feet from the sidewalk (at its closet point) along Pine Grove Road. The fence will secure an in-ground pool on the residential property, according to the application.
