Miller running for 5th district magistrate
Ann Miller announces her candidacy for Woodford County Magistrate 5th District. I am serving my tenth year on the Versailles City Council. I have three children, Leigh (Preston and grandson), Laura (Dylan) and Benjamin.
I earned a bachelor’s degree from U.K. and attended EKU earning a membership in Phi Kappa Phi Honorary and received the “Legal Research and Writing Award.” I am employed by Franklin Asset Management. I was previously appointed by Gov. Beshear for two terms to “Geographic Information Advisory Council” and served on the KLC “City Classification Task Force.”
As Co-Chair of the Police and Fire Committee, I led the initiative purchasing the former St. Leo school property and building the new police department. I currently chair the Downtown Outdoor Marketplace and Pavilion committee (permanent home for WC Farmers’ Market) and work with 12 committee members making this project a reality for all of Woodford County.
I believe my service and commitment to the entire county demonstrates my strong representation that citizens trust and rely upon. “We must not focus on the past but learn from it.” We don’t talk about the “Frankfort Land Deal” every day, but we must always remember what we learned from it.
