WCHS boys golf beats Sayre

The Woodford County High School boys' golf team won its home nine-hole match over Sayre Monday, Sept. 10. Jack Browning and Joe Kowalke led the Jackets , both firing a 45. Richard Osborn shot a 46 and Alex Gililland had a 48. Grayson Johnson shot a 49 and Cayce Jones finished with a 53. The Jackets lost 179-170 to Lexington Christian Academy Sept. 4 at the Golf Club of the Bluegrass. The Jackets were led by Gililland who shot a 42. Osborn fired a 44 over nine holes, Browning had a 45. Jones shot a 48 and Kowalke finished with a 53. The remainder of the WCHS boys' and girls' golf schedule was rained out last week. Make up dates have not been announced.
