Kerkhoff seeks reelection to city council

As a councilman, I have been deeply involved in budget planning and strong fiscal management. I voted for the demolition of the old Versailles Center (new Holiday Inn), to develop a strategic plan for the future of Versailles and for downtown beautification, (flowers, festivals and events, sidewalks, parking), as well as to study the potential merits of merged governments. As a member of the Finance committee I am proud of decisions made to significantly improve the city’s balance sheet.

Mayor Traugott has asked me to serve on the Affordable Housing and Community Broadband Taskforce, and I am also a member of the Woodford County Tourism Commission, appointed by County Judge-Executive John Coyle.

My priorities:

• Strong fiscally responsible budget management.

• Continued improvement with city/county relationships.

• Economic Development, tourism, downtown beautification.

• Improved infrastructure.

• Private/public partnerships.

I have 34 years of business experience with IBM/Lexmark and eight years of results for Versailles and Woodford County.

My wife Nancy, a retired teacher, and I moved here 34 years ago, raised our three sons in Versailles and have been actively involved in the city and county. We are long time members of Southland Christian Church.

I am honored to serve and would appreciate your vote.
