Logan


Opal L. Miesse Logan, 83, wife of Lee E. Logan, died Friday, Sept. 14, 2018, at The Homeplace at Midway. Born on Sept. 11, 1935, in Mercer County, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late J.E. Glen and Francis M. Detrick Miesse. She was a 1954 graduate of Shawnee High School, Lima Ohio. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lexington In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children, Michael Logan, Dayton, Ohio; Roger (Jules Muscari), Loveland, Colorado; Larry Logan, Lexington; and Joan (W. Gregg) Anderson, Georgetown; and nine grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Margert McClain and a brother, Robert. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. today, Thursday, Sept. 20, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Lexington, by the Rev. James Bettermann. An additional memorial service will be held in Harrod, Ohio on a date yet to be determined. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church, 516 Pasadena Drive, Lexington, Ky. 40503; Harrod United Methodist Church, 101 S. Oak Street, Harrod, Ohio, 45850; The Gideon’s International, or Alzheimer’s Association.
