Lexington weekly fuel update
Gasoline prices in Lexington have fallen 8.8 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.80/g, according to GasBuddy’s daily survey of 275 stations in Lexington. This compares with the national average that has increased 1.5 cents per gallon versus last week to $2.87/g, according to GasBuddy.
Average gasoline prices on Oct. 1 in Lexington have ranged widely over the last five years: $2.35/g in 2017, $2.34/g in 2016, $2.31/g in 2015, $3.36/g in 2014 and $3.26/g in 2013.
Including the change locally during the past week, prices were 44.6 cents per gallon higher than a year ago and are 15.5 cents per gallon higher than a month ago. The national average has increased 3.5 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 33.4 cents per gallon higher than a year ago.

Kentucky - $2.71/g, down 2.2 cents per gallon from last week’s $2.73/g.
Cincinnati - $2.75/g, down 14.5 cents per gallon from last week’s $2.89/g.
Louisville - $2.78/g, down 5.4 cents per gallon from last week’s $2.83/g.
