Donald Ray Powers Jr., 56, died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2018, at Diversicare of Nicholasville.

Born on July 16, 1962, in Woodford County, he was the son of Marjorie Patterson Powers and the late Donald Ray Powers Sr. He was a 1980 graduate of Woodford County High School.

He is survived by his mother, Marjorie Powers, two daughters, Ariel (Jason) Turner and Danielle Powers, all of Versailles, a sister, Patricia (Doug) Faye Miller, Lexington; and four grandchildren, Alyssa Shirley, Aubrey Turner, Brycen Turner and Brantley Turner.

Services were held Monday, Oct. 1, at Blackburn and Ward Funeral Home, officiated by the Rev. Dale Ragland. Pallbearers were George Ballinger, Jason Turner, Josh Murphy, Joey Cheek, Mike Dailey, Scott Ferguson and Doug Miller.
