The 2018-2019 Leadership Woodford County class met on Oct. 5 for their monthly class. The topic for the day was “Agriculture in Woodford County.” Visits/tours of the day included Salad Days Farm; KESMARC (KY Equine Sports Medicine and Rehab Center); Greathouse Farms; lunch at Wallace Station with owner Ouita Michel; ASAP Fish, LLC; and Equus Run Vineyard. This program is sponsored by the Woodford County Cooperative Extension Service and the Woodford County Chamber of Commerce. Leadership Woodford County provides a forum for leaders and future leaders to study our community and learn the skills they will need to help promote change, improve our quality of life, and lead. The program will meet monthly though May, featuring monthly one-day meetings that will highlight different aspects of the community.
