Lady Tigers’ season ends with 32-27 loss to Elkhorn

The Woodford County Middle School girls' basketball team's season came to an end Oct. 9 with a 32-27 loss to Elkhorn. Woodford struggled from the charity stripe, hitting just 10 of 21 free throws in the contest. The game was competitive the entire way with Elkhorn pulling away in the final 90 seconds. Callie Hudson led the Lady Tigers with nine points. Jocelyn Edwards chipped in with six points, Chloe Brown and Haydon Wells each scored four points. Bourbon County The Lady Tigers advanced to the second round of the conference tournament with a 31-29 win over Bourbon County The Lady Jackets scored eight points in the first quarter and were led by Wells who scored four points. Hudson and Edwards each scored a bucket for the Lady Tigers. Wells and Edwards score d two points each on a pair of free throws and Hudson added two more points before halftime. Edwards scored five of her nine points in the second half, and the Lady Tigers came away with the two-point victory.
