Police Reports

Versailles police responded to one accident involving an injury, 18 non-injury accidents, and one domestic-related complaint.

On Oct. 10 at 7:16 a.m., a Pontiac G5 driven by Daisy M. Puentes, 23, of 3446 Cummins Ferry Road, tried to negotiate a right-hand curve followed by a left-hand curve on Fords Mill Road. Police say she was driving too fast and overcorrected, spun out, then drove off the left side of the road into a fence and down an embankment. The car came to rest in a field. She was taken to Bluegrass Community Hospital.

Police say the vehicle was not under proper control.

On Oct. 12, tires were reported vandalized at a government building on Beasley Road, with damage estimated at $700.

On Oct. 12, a vehicle was reported leaving the scene of an accident on Marsailles Road that caused $200 in damage to a Land Rover.

On Oct. 10, trailer ramps and a tool box worth a total of $300 were reported stolen from a home on Cherry Hill Court.

On Oct. 12, a debit card was reported stolen at a home on Luther Bland Court.

On Oct. 12, third-degree terroristic threatening was reported on Dale Avenue.

On Oct. 12, a Ford Fusion worth $21,000 was reported stolen from a home on Gormley Drive.

On Oct. 11, theft by deception involving $1,610 was reported on Elm Street.

On Oct. 11, a chainsaw and other items worth a total of $588.06 were reported stolen on Versailles Road.

On Oct. 9, a counterfeit $100 bill was reported on United Drive.

On Oct. 9, fraudulent use of three cards involving $1,704.37 was reported at a home on Scarborough Drive.

On Oct. 7, fraudulent use of a credit card involving $501 was reported at a home on Cypress Road.

On Oct. 10, a vehicle was reported leaving the scene of an accident on Winterberry Court.

On Oct. 9, a GMC Sierra that had been reported stolen was recovered at a church on Huntertown Road.

Fire Reports

City

Firefighters made 22 EMS assists during the past week.

On Oct. 9, they responded to a false alarm on Apple Road.

On Oct. 10, they responded to a smoke complaint on Southland Drive and a fire at Margaret Hall.

On Oct. 12, they responded to a malfunctioning smoke detector on Arbor Place and smoke at CVS.

On Oct. 14, they responded to a person trapped in an elevator at Bluegrass Community Hospital, a malfunctioning alarm on Marsailles Road and a false alarm at Margaret Hall.

On Oct. 15, they responded to a vehicle accident on Rose Hill Avenue and another vehicle accident at the intersection of South Main Street and Rose Hill Avenue.

County

Firefighters made one EMS assist during the past week.

On Oct. 10, they responded to a vehicle accident on Fords Mill Road and burnt food on Locust Grove Lane.

On Oct. 11, they responded to a vehicle accident on Lexington Road and a vehicle fire on U.S. 60 West.

On Oct. 12, they checked a controlled burn on Shoreacres Road.

On Oct. 13, they responded to a vehicle accident on the Bluegrass Parkway.

On Oct. 14, they responded to a malfunctioning furnace on Pisgah Pike and a vehicle accident on Shannon Run Road.

Animal Control

Woodford County Animal Control (879-0598) is holding the following stray dogs: a white and black female rat terrier mix; a white and black female Jack Russell terrier mix; a black and brown female beagle (or Shepherd) mix; a black and gray elderly female mixed breed named “Ty;” a tan and white male pit bull puppy; a three-legged male Blue Heeler, and a black, tan and white female Australian Shepherd mix.

The following stray cats are being held: a domestic short-hair tabby, neutered elderly male cat, a domestic short-haired white and gray adult female; a domestic short-haired black and white adult female; and a domestic short-haired brown tabby, neutered adult male.

Animal Control holds stray pets for five days. A list of impounded animals may be found on the front door of the animal control building at 210 Beasley Road.
