Nancy Thompson Braunm, 69, wife of Fred Braunm, died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2018.
Born on Dec. 10, 1948, in Fayette County, she was the daughter of the late James William “Big Bill” and Thelma Goodpaster Thompson. She was a graduate of Woodford County High School. She worked as a clerk for many years at Meadowhill Food Mart and worked in the cafeteria at Midway School. She was a longtime member of Mount Vernon Baptist Church in Versailles.
In addition to her husband of 47 years, Fred Braunm, Midway, she is survived by a son, James Dean Braunm, Georgetown; a daughter, Jennifer Braunm, Versailles; an honorary son, Will (Janie) Robinson, Alexandria; an honorary daughter, Erin Braunm; two brothers, Billy (Ginny) Thompson, Lawrenceburg; and Ike (Krista) Thompson, Willisburg; five grandchildren, Austin Salazar, Will and LJ Braunm, all of Midway; and Michael and Savannah Braunm, Georgetown.
Services were conducted Wednesday, Oct. 31, at Blackburn and Ward Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Ike Thompson, Billy Thompson, Brian Thompson, Landon Thompson, Will Robinson, Joseph Robinson, Austin Salazar and Ismael Chavez. Honorary pallbearers were her grandchildren. Burial followed at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
