Mark your calendar: 2019 calendar debuts Saturday

Do you have plans on Saturday afternoon? Does your dog? Well, good news: we’ve got something fun you and your dog can enjoy together! Woodford Humane Society’s Sniff ‘n’ Mingle 2019 calendar debut is 2-4 p.m. at the Local Wag in Lexington, and all of our friends – human and canine – are invited!

Sniff ‘n’ Mingle is a free, casual get-together for dogs and pet-lovers to celebrate the release of our 2019 calendar. Munch on snacks for people and pets, browse WHS retail, learn a thing or two from Best Friends Obedience, meet adoptable dogs… and, of course, your dog can sniff and mingle with the other pooches in attendance. It’s right there in the name, after all!

And, thanks to the Local Wag’s cozy indoor doggy gym, located in Lexington’s Distillery District, we’ll be immune to whatever weather Kentucky-in-November decides to throw at us. But if you’re reading, Kentucky-in-November, please don’t take that as a challenge.

This year’s Sniff ‘n’ Mingle is a big one for Woodford Humane, as it marks the debut of our first ever wall calendar. We retired our planner-style calendars this year, after a long and awesome run, as more and more people switched from hand-held planners to devices.

We’re hoping our new wall calendar format will add a refreshing dose of cute-and-fuzzy to many offices and homes in 2019. Sniff ‘n’ Mingle is your very first chance to check out and get your paws on our brand new calendars, so grab your dog and come on down!

If you can’t make it to Sniff ‘n’ Mingle this year but still want to pick up a calendar or two, online sales will open next week at woodfordhumane.org – yes, we ship! - and over the next few days we’ll be distributing calendars to more than a dozen retailers across the area. And, of course, they’ll be available at our Adoption Center, so stop on by and say hi.

Get in touch with us at 859-873-5491 or go to woodfordhumane.org to learn more about Sniff ‘n’ Mingle – and all the other great things we have coming up in the next few months.
