Felix Farler, 81, formerly of Woodford County, husband of Eva Mae Wilson Farler, died Monday, Nov. 12, 2018, at his residence in Franklin County.

Born on June 17, 1937, in Hazard, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Constance Caudill Farler. He worked in coal and rock mines.

In addition to his wife of 55 years, he is survived by three children, Laura (Roger) Ann Farler Edwards, Frankfort; Dorothy (Dale) Creech, Marietta, Georgia; Lawrence (Lois) Clayton Farler, Nicholasville; a sister, Linda Sanchez, Frankfort; three brothers, Larry Farler, Wilmore; Doug (Lizzie) Farler, Lawrenceburg; Corbett (Janice) Farler (Janice), Frankfort; two grandchildren, Emily Ann Farler, Frankfort; and Susie Saylor, Indiana; and two great-grandchildren, Caleb Smith, and Khari Thompson, both of Frankfort. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Pauline Brown and Dorothy Crawford, and five brothers, Jim, Odell, Jerry, James and Johnny Farler

Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. today, Thursday, Nov. 15, at Blackburn and Ward Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 11 a.m.
