Owen Harry Piatt, 68, husband of Brenda Rothgeb Piatt, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2018, at his residence in Midway.

Born on Jan. 28, 1950, in Georgetown, he was the son of the late Robert Harry and Annleen Duncan Piatt. He was retired from Osram Sylvania.

In addition to his wife of fifty years, he is survived by four children, Trevor (Lisa) Piatt, San Antonio, Texas; Todd (Kim) Piatt, Lawrenceburg; Katrina Piatt, Georgetown; and Elizabeth Shepard, Richmond; a brother, Jack (Helen) Burgess, Lawrenceburg; a sister, Kathleen Lloyd, Somerset; 11 grandchildren, Christa (Ryan) Drury, Jake Newton, Tevis (Matthew) Issac, Mark Eller, Shelby Dearing, Dawson Dearing, Tristan Shepard, Taylor Piatt, Zack Piatt, Zayden Piatt and Angel Piatt, and two great-grandchildren, Dexter Drury and Trenton Issac. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Cox; and two brothers, William Burgess and Albert Burgess.

Services will be conducted at 12 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, at Blackburn and Ward Funeral Home by Brother Dave Rayborn. Burial will follow at Camp Nelson National Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m.
