WCHS archery earns runner-up finish at Henry Clay kick-off
The Woodford County High School archery team finished runner-up at the Henry Clay High School first annual season kick-off. The Arrow Jackets fell just short of host Henry Clay with a total team score of 3264 including an incredible 136 bullseyes.
Junior Devon Wilson was individual runner-up for the boys and led the Jackets in overall scoring with a 291 including 21 bullseyes. Sophomores Shaun Lavin and Caleb Rockhold were third and fourth with 286 and 284 respectively. Arron Collings shot a 276, CJ Tupman fired a 271, Shanon Howell shot a 263, Shiloh Smith had a 262. Abran Santos shot 261, Eli McIntosh shot a 245 and Ethan Parker had a 221.
The Lady Jackets were led by Sophomore Anemone Rishel who shot a 271. Hailey Kraft shot a 269, Smily Morrison had a 269 and McKenna Hewett fired a 261. Melody Gilpin, Morgan Murray and Julia Brillowski all shot a 260. Madison Hill fired a 247, Osiana Zenn had a 244. Emily Tackett had a 220 and Lauren Hall shot a 207.
Official team tryouts are held this week at WCHS.
