Monday, Dec. 10

• What Are You Reading? Book Group, 12 p.m., Midway branch. (Adults) Broaden your reading horizons. Share your favorite new book and author. Enjoy coffee, a snack and lively discussions. No assigned books. No sign-up necessary.

• Maker Monday: Arctic Adaptation, 4 p.m., main library. (Ages 5-11) Kids learn hands-on how arctic animals stay warm in their icy habitats. Call (859) 873-5191 to sign up.

• Midway Book Club, 6:30 p.m., Midway branch. (Adults) The book club will meet to discuss “Being Mortal” by Atul Gawande. All are welcome.

Tuesday, Dec. 11

• English Classes/ Clases de inglés, 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m., main library. (Adults/adultos) Learn English grammar and vocabulary, practice speaking and more. Aprendemos gramática, vocabulario, y conversación en inglés, y mucho más.

• Toddler Tales, 10 a.m., main library. (Ages 2-3) Enjoy songs, rhymes, stories and great activities.

• Preschool Stories, 11 a.m., main library. (Ages 4-5) Books and more to enhance pre-literacy skills and to have fun.

• Preschool Story Hour, 11 a.m., Midway branch. (Ages 5 and younger) Children (with a favorite adult) have fun with engaging books, songs, and activities as they build their early literacy skills.

• Art Attack, 3 p.m., Midway branch. (Grades K-4) Draw, trim, glue, paint, and create. Join us for a creative art project, a snack and a story. Call (859) 846-4014 to sign up.

• Adult Storytelling Circle, 6 p.m., main library. (Adults) In this first meeting, join Ray Mendenhall (incoming president of the Kentucky Storytelling Association) as he shares stories and storytelling techniques. • Dynamic Doers: Wrapping Party, 2 p.m., Midway branch. (Ages 11-18) Bring your Christmas presents for a wrapping party. Snack, socialize and decorate your gifts with your unique style. Wrapping and crafting materials provided.
