Campbell


William Stewart Campbell Jr., 33, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019, at Baptist Health, Louisville.

Born on Feb. 22, 1985, in Woodford County, he was the son of William S. Campbell Sr. and Cathy M. Campbell. He was a 2003 graduate of Woodford County High School, a member of the First Baptist Church of Versailles and an employee of Montaplast in Frankfort.

In addition to his mother and father, he is survived by a daughter, Keija Realin Campbell; two sisters, Crystal Michele Campbell and Gloria Payne; a brother, Joshua Washington; maternal grandmother, Mamie Brown; 10 aunts and nine uncles; a niece and nephew, two great-nieces, and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Howard and Julia Campbell; maternal grandfather, Robert Brown; and uncles, Michael “Chip” Brown, Robert D. Brown, Wayne Campbell and Alvin Brown.

Services were conducted Tuesday, Jan. 8, at First Baptist Church, by the Rev. Dr. Floyd Greene. Pallbearers were Michael Brown, Ryan Brown, Aaron Russell, Terry Brown, Justin Brown, Matthew Brown and Quentin Campbell. Honorary pallbearers were Sheafan Mattingly, Jerome Givens, Derek Campbell, Brandon Campbell, Grant Stepp, Travis Collins, Joshua Raglin, Steven Shaeder, Burt Simmons, Nicholas Holden and Darius Jackson. Burial followed at Rose Crest Cemetery.
