Police Reports

Versailles police responded to one vehicle accident involving an injury, 19 non-injury accidents, two domestic-related complaints, issued three citations/summonses and made one arrest.

On Jan. 16 at 7:51 a.m., a Volkswagen Passat driven by Kaylie E. Frazier, 24, of 234 Blackhawk Circle, and a Hyundai driven by Lanna K. Combs, 38, of 370 Patchen Drive, were eastbound on the Bluegrass Parkway. As they exited to merge onto U.S. 60 into heavy traffic, the Hyundai slowed, then stopped, and was rear-ended by the Passat. Frazier was taken to Bluegrass Community Hospital. Police say she was following too closely and that her vehicle was not under proper control.

On Jan. 20, police issued two citations/summonses at an Elm Street home for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Jan. 8, a Chevrolet pickup truck worth $10,400 was reported stolen and recovered on McCracken Pike and a Ruger 380 worth $250 was reported stolen.

On Jan. 19, an impact drill and other items worth a total of $1,635 were reported stolen on Lexington Road.

On Jan. 18, police issued a citation/summons at an Arbor Place Drive home for possession of marijuana.

On Jan. 18, a Samsung tablet worth $330 was reported stolen from a vehicle on Colony Drive.

On Jan. 20, a vehicle was reported leaving the scene of an accident on Simmons Street.

On Jan. 18, an Xbox One and other items worth a total of $2,150 were reported stolen at a home on North Locust Street.

On Jan. 17, a Finalmouse Ultralight Phantom computer mouse worth $300 was reported stolen from a home on Sugartree Lane.

On Jan. 9, cold checks worth a total of $988 were reported on Spring Run Road.

On Jan. 2, three cashier’s checks worth a total of $9,712.58 were reported stolen from a home on Montgomery Avenue.

On Jan. 16, a car stereo was reported vandalized and a LG Stylo reported stolen on Yellow Jacket Drive.

On Jan. 17, police made an arrest at a South Main Street convenience store for alcohol intoxication in a public place (third offense), third-degree criminal trespassing and assault on a police or probation officer.

On Jan. 14, a red electric air compressor worth $100 was reported stolen from a garage/shed on Paynes Mill Road.

On Jan. 12, a handicapped tag was reported stolen from a vehicle on Keokuk Court.

On Jan. 9, first-degree indecent exposure was reported at a store on Lexington Street.

On Jan. 15, harassing communications were reported at a home on Pinckard Pike.

Firefighters made 15 EMS assists during the past week.

On Jan. 15, they responded to a vehicle accident on Frankfort Street.

On Jan. 20, they responded to a cooking fire on a stove on Wilson Avenue.

Firefighters made four EMS assists during the past week.

On Jan. 16, they responded to what turned out to be a false alarm on McCracken Pike.

On Jan. 20, they responded to a recreational vehicle fire on Shannon Run Road and what turned out to be a false alarm on Pinckard Pike.

On Jan. 21, they performed smoke investigations on Powhatan Trail and Delaney Ferry Road.
