Bettie G. Ritchie, 88, widow of Hisel Ritchie, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2019, after a long illness.

She was born on June 23, 1930 to Mattie Nutter Alsop and Charles F. Alsop. She was a bookkeeper at Pin Oak Farm for 37 years and was a member of the Versailles United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Charlet J. (Johnny) Ethington, Versailles; a granddaughter, Beth Ethington; a grandson, John T. (Melanie) Ethington IV; and three great-grandchildren, Madeline Ethington, Kathryn DeVore and Quentin Ethington.

Services were held, Friday, Feb. 1, at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Road, Frankfort, with Rev. Todd Lester officiating. Pallbearers were John T. Ethington IV, Jason DeVore, Mark Nutter, Jimmy Cummins, James Humphrey and John Cummins. Honorary pallbearers were John “Butch” Sanders and Quentin Ethington.

Special thanks to our Hospice team, Carol Cain Thurman and Pat Kirsch. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be sent to Bluegrass Care Navigators, 2312 Alexandria Drive, Lexington, Ky. 40504.
