Flora


Clara Belle Buffin Flora, 76, wife of Kenneth Flora, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2019, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.

Born on Dec. 5, 1942, in Woodford County, she was the daughter of the late John “Bill” and Mary C. Barnes Buffin. She had worked for Texas Instruments and Rand McNally and attended Pinckard Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Joy Arnett, Wayne Rice, both of Lawrenceburg; and Robbie Rice, Frankfort; two step-children, Timmy (Tammy) Flora, Winchester; and Teresa (Rodney) Dix, Lexington; seven grandchildren, Angel (Justin) Gregory, Nicholasville; Alyssa Rice, Lawrenceburg; Steve (Chelsea) Rice, Colorado; Kevin Arnett, Versailles; Arlis Rice, Lawrenceburg; Scott Rice, Colorado; and Teddy Rice, Lawrenceburg; four step-grandchildren, James Flora, Winchester; Phyllis Jean (Stephen) Christenbury, North Carolina; Dalton Mason, Louisville; and Ethan Pratt, Lexington; two brothers, Charles Buffin, Lawrenceburg; and Eddie Buffin, Versailles; 11 great-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.

Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. today, Thursday, Feb. 14, at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Kevin Arnett, Steven Rice, Ethan Pratt, Justin Gregory, Scott Rice, Carl Whalen and Jeffery Yeager. Burial will follow at Rose Crest Cemetery.
