March 7 – Fruit Tree Grafting Workshop, 6 p.m. No need to pay big dollars for good apple trees. Come to this class and you will be able to reproduce any apple tree you want. Participants should bring a sharp knife. Everything else is supplied. There is a $10 fee for this class, and pre-registration and payment is required to sign up.

March 11 – Painting with Bessie, 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. All skill levels welcome. The painting workshop is offered every Monday. Contact Bessie Bain at 873-5658 for more information.

March 11 – RAP Support Group (Relatives As Parents), 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Refreshments and childcare are provided. For more information, call the Extension Office.

March 12 – Wildlife Jewelry Workshop, 6 p.m. Complete two jewelry items of your choice. The class will be two to three hours long. Space is limited, and there is a $25 fee that includes all supplies. To register, stop by the Extension Office at 184 Beasley Drive.

March 19 – Invasive Plant Species & Native Alternatives, 9 a.m. Joyce Bender, retired biologist from the Kentucky State Nature Preserves Commission and vice president of the Kentucky Exotic Pest Plant Council, will lead this presentation. Learn about the invasive plant species in our area, how to control them and native species you can plant in place of them. This class is free but call the Extension Office to register.

March 19 – Sit-N-Sew, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Interested in joining others with an interest in sewing/quilting? Join us the third Tuesday of each month. All skill levels are welcomed. Bring your own project to work on. Master clothing volunteers will be available for answering questions and offering guidance on your project. No fee for attending. 4-H Clubs & Activities

4-H Horse Club – Thursday, March 7 & 21, 6 p.m. The 4-H Horse Club will meet twice in March. This is for all 4-Hers interested in horses. You do not have to have a horse/ride to participate.

4-H Cloverbuds Club – Thursday, March 7, 4 p.m. This club is for any youth 5 to 8 interested in jump starting their 4-H experience. Our meeting will include a craft, story-time and a healthy snack. A parent/guardian must stay during the club meeting. 4-H Livestock Judging Team – Tuesday, March 12 & 26, 4 p.m. The livestock judging team will practice twice in March in preparation for the judging season starting in March. 4-H Cooking Club – Thursday, March 14, 4:30 p.m. We will be focusing on Irish cooking.
