2019 Craft Camp weekend Come join other crafting enthusiasts at the annual Fort Harrod Area Craft Camp, which will be held June 7-9 at the Lake Cumberland 4-H Educational Center located in rural, scenic Jabez. This annual event brings together quilters, basket makers, woodcrafters and many more interested in getting away for the weekend at a secluded location so all you have to do is let others cook, clean and worry about the ‘schedule’ while you enjoy taking classes learning something new! Or maybe you want to refresh your skills or make a project in something you already love to do.
This year’s theme is Salute to America. The classes are varied with choices in basketry, sewing, quilting, jewelry making, painting, needlework, plus many more. Registration is $15. Participants pay for lodging, meals and classes. Stay for one day or spend the whole weekend. Registration must be postmarked by April 22. This Craft Camp experience is hosted by Extension Homemakers and is open to anybody that wants to get away, enjoy crafting fellowship, learn a new skill or improve skills. A copy of the Craft Camp booklet is available at woodford.ca.uky.edu/ or on Facebook by searching at fhacraftcamp. Please send check and registration form to the Woodford County Extension Office, 184 Beasley Drive, Versailles, Ky. 40383. For more information, contact the office at 873-4601.
