Roy Edward “Ed” Carr Jr., 59, passed away Sunday, Feb. 17, 2019, at his home in Versailles. Born on Oct. 18, 1959, in Medford, Massachusetts, Ed came to Versailles nine years ago to reconnect with his high school sweetheart and fiancé. He was the son of Roy Edward Carr Sr. of Massachusetts and Haroldine Holmquist of Maine. Ed’s career was as an automotive transmission specialist. His joy was his son, his family, Northern Maine, riding his 1977 Harley motorcycle, rebuilding and driving antique cars, and his “2,000 miles of friends.” He is survived by both of his parents; his son Christopher Edward Carr of Massachusetts; his three brothers, Mark, Richard and Alan Carr; and his fiancé Virginia Madelung.
