David Lewis McClain, 83, died Thursday, March 21, 2019. Born on July 13, 1935, in Midway, he was the son of the late Thomas Burns and Viola Gregory McClain. He was self-employed as an electrical contractor, a member of Midway Methodist Church, and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He is survived by four children, James (Betty Sue) McClain, Terry Lynn McClain, Luke (Anita) McClain and Mindy (Chris) Ford; a stepson, Jason (Farrah) Kyle; a sister, Joyce Covert; three grandchildren, Jennifer McClain, Gloria McClain and Jagger Ford; and his great-grandchildren, Jimmy White, Brandon McClain, Johnny Reed and Jaxon Reed. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Kelly McClain. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 30, at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Road, by the Rev. William Bush. Casket bearers will be James McClain, Luke McClain, Jason Kyle, Chris Ford, Jagger Ford and Trace Lowe. Honorary casket bearers will be Brandon McClain, Jimmy White, Johnny Reed, Jaxon Reed and Gloria McClain. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Clark Legacy Center.
