Tevis Owen Rose, of Falls Church, Virginia, formerly of Tacoma, Washington, widow of Capt. Albert E. Rose Jr. USN retired, died Monday, March 4, 2019. She was born on Nov. 13, 1922 in Versailles. She graduated from Transylvania University, where she was a member of the Chi Omega sorority. She was a member of Oberlin Congregational Church, Oakbrook Golf and Country Club, and for 21 years, an American Red Cross volunteer at Madigan Army Medical Center, Tacoma, Washington. Survivors include two sons, Capt. David (Debra) O. Rose, USN retired, Arlington, Virginia; and Richard (Julie) A. Rose, Clearwater, Florida; a granddaughter Ashley Owen Rose, Washington D.C.; and a sister, Frances Carmody, Frankfort. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. today, Thursday, April 25, at Versailles Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity.
