Richard F. “Dick” Cole, 75, husband of Linda Carol Cole, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2019. He was born in Fresno, California Aug. 19, 1943. to the late Richard Adrian and Eloise Cash Cole. He worked for the Federal Bureau of Prisons for 23 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of Pinckard Baptist Church. Dick had a passion for stage plays and entertained thousands in local community theater productions. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Matthew (Laura) Cole, Versailles; Andrew (Rebecca) Cole, Lexington; Keith Mitchell, Florida; and Stefani Mitchell, Versailles; his brother, Michael Cole; his sister, Andrea Cole, both of Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and his special caregivers, Ron Bodager and Lisa Eads. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Zachary Mitchell. Service will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, April 20, at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Road. Reverend Richard Landon will be officiating. Private entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens at a later date. Honorary casket bearers will be Matthew Cole, Andrew Cole, Keith Mitchell, Stefani Mitchell, Ron Bodager, Lisa Eads and Kevin Sexton. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service Saturday, April 20, at Clark Legacy Center. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Hospice Care of the Bluegrass or Pinckard Baptist Church. (Paid obituary)
