UPCOMING EXTENSION EVENTS

Woodford County Farmers Market is now open for the season on Saturdays, 8:30 a.m.–12 p.m. Lexington Road Plaza, 525 Marsailles Road, Versailles. Beginning June 3, Mondays, 3-6 p.m. Darlin’ Jean’s parking lot, Midway; beginning June 5, Wednesdays, 3-6 p.m. Lexington Road Plaza, 525 Marsailles Road, Versailles. Come check out the spring produce, flowers, honey and handmade items available. Shop local and support your farmers and crafters. May 13 – Painting with Bessie, 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. All skill levels are welcome. Contact Bessie Bain at 873-5658 for more information. May 16 – Grafting Tomatoes, 6 p.m. University of Kentucky Vegetable Specialist, Rachel Rudolph, will teach this hands-on class. Each participant will receive three to four grafted tomato plants to take home. The fee will be $5 per person, and pre-registration and payment is required. The class will be limited to the first 20 people that sign up. Call 859-873-4601 with any questions or to register. May 21 – Sit-N-Sew, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Interested in joining others with an interest in sewing/quilting? Join us the third Tuesday of each month. All skill levels are welcomed. Bring your own project to work on. Master clothing volunteers will be available for answering questions and offering guidance on your project. No fee for attending.
