Memorial Day closings

The following businesses and government offices will be closed Monday, May 27, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday. The Woodford Sun will be closed Monday. All advertising and news copy deadlines for the May 30 issue will be noon on Friday, May 24. The Versailles and Midway city governments will be closed. Central Kentucky Hauling will not pick up on Memorial Day. Rumpke Sanitation will operate on their regular garbage collection schedule. The Woodford County Courthouse and Annex will close at 4 p.m. on Friday, May 24, and will remain closed until 8 a.m. Tuesday, May 28. The Versailles and Midway Post Offices will be closed Memorial Day, and there will be no mail delivery. All Woodford County banks will be closed on Memorial Day, as will the Greater Kentucky Credit Union. The Woodford Humane Society adoption center will be closed. The Woodford County Public Library’s Versailles and Midway branches will be closed on Memorial Day. The Woodford County Health Department will be closed on Monday, May 27. Indoor facilities at Falling Springs Arts and Recreation Center will be closed on Monday, May 27, but the outdoor pool will be open. The Woodford County Recycling Center will be closed Monday, May 27.
