Library Events Sunday, June 2 • Opening Reception for To the Moon: Pen and Inks by Jen Dunham, 2 to 4 p.m., main library. (All welcome) Jen has combined her love of art and books into a unique blend of mix-media art. All work is done using micron pens and colored pencils on library card catalog cards. The full moon is a favorite theme for Jen’s art with each month represented by the full moon for that month. Show runs through July 26. Monday, June 3 • What Are You Reading? (All welcome) World Wide Knit in Public Day was started in 2005 and is a way for knitters to come together and enjoy each other’s company. Knitting can be a solitary act – today is the day to bring yours out in the open. Bring your WIP to knit with some good company in Midway’s lovely outdoor reading garden. Basic instruction, refreshments and door prizes provided. • Super Story Time: Celestial Bodies, 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., main library. (Families) Learn about moon phases through videos, books and Oreos, and create fluorescent star art. • Kids Read to Dogs, 3 p.m., main library.
