Chad Pennington to host free football camp July 19 at Falling Springs

Former NFL quarterback Chad Pennington will host a free football camp for grades 1-8 on Friday, July 19. The three-hour event will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. at Falling Springs as part of Pennington’s 1st and 10 Foundation’s Life Skills and Football Drills camp series. The camp focuses on both fundamental aspects of offensive and defensive football, as well as social and leadership skills related to the sport and life. The foundation claims that the camp will help build “Character and dedication.” Pennington will be on hand to provide one on one coaching to players. Pennington, an 11 year NFL veteran, is now the director of football for Sayre School in Lexington. During his time as a pro, Pennington played as a member of the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins, finishing No. 2 in MVP voting in 2008 with Miami.
