Connie Hicks, 68, widow of Dewey Hicks, died Sunday, July 28, 2019. Born on May 18, 1951, in Hamilton, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Wanda Kimbrell Young. She was a member of Journey Church. She is survived by four sisters, Judy (Howard) Abney, Nancy Cheek, Peggy Hensley, all of Versailles; and Hatti Chaney, Oregon. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Linda Young and Betty Biddle; and two brothers, David Young and Jimmy Young. Services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Thursday, Aug. 1, at Clark Legacy Center, Frankfort, by the Rev. David Mencer. Casket bearers will be Daniel Haskins, Joey Staff, Daniel Staff, Billy Cheek Jr., Joey Cheek and Howard Abney. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery, Cincinnati, Ohio. Visitation will be from 9 until 11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. The family asks in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
