Gibson to run for Kentucky House seat
Eager to promote fiscal fairness in state government, Bob Gibson has announced his candidacy in Kentucky’s 56th House district. Gibson, a lifelong Versailles resident, is a 1988 graduate of Woodford County High School. “You might know me as a teacher, administrator, coach, or athletic director, and I hope you’ll get to know me as your voice in Frankfort,” he said. A 25-year employee in public schools, Gibson pledges to take a collaborative approach to improving the educational and career opportunities for the people of Woodford, Franklin, and Fayette counties. “Whether it’s schools or industry or farming, state government can set the table for success, and I want to make sure all our families have the ability to thrive,” Gibson said. “Fiscal fairness for our people requires honesty and transparency from our legislators.” Gibson serves as a member and former chair of the Woodford County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. “I value civic engagement, and as a member of the Chamber, I’ve gained insight into the challenges that businesses of all types and sizes face,” Gibson said.
