Letters to the Editor

Against Fairness Ordinance Editor, The Sun: If you are reading this, you should know that we’re all born of one man and one woman – not two men or two women. Satan wants everyone to think that lust is the same thing as love; that is a trick of the devil. We cannot believe in God and the Bible and go contrary to the laws of the Bible and teachings of Jesus. I, for one, do not believe that the laws being passed are just for the protection of what they are said to be, but (rather) are an attempt to make everyone think that excepting lust is the same as excepting love – it is not. This may not be printed in your paper, but if it is not, whom does that say is being discriminated against – God or Satan, believers or non-believers. And whom does that say we are serving. We can all be forgiven of our sins, if we repent, and I thank God and Jesus for that reality of his love in my own life. May God help us to know what true love is. Daniel B. Mason Midway

Renovate high school Editor, The Sun: In light of all the controversy surrounding the building of a new high school in Woodford County, I suggest reconsidering the option of renovating the current high school. If there isn’t enough money to build a new school as would be desired, based on earlier figures, there should be enough to do a top-notch renovation. I taught at the high school from 1999 to 2009 and I love the building. It does need a lot of work but has many good features and a great location. I realize there would be challenges with continuing to use the building during remodeling, but that can be and has been done. Renovation seems the best solution to our current dilemma, and would have the added benefit of preserving memories for our graduates. Sue Churchill Woodford County
