Farmer

Harold Wayne Farmer, 75, husband of Dorothy Farmer, died Friday, Sept. 13, 2019. Born on Feb. 16, 1944, in Corbin, he was the son of the late Roscoe and Oma Ballard Farmer. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and the U.S. Army Reserves, serving during the Vietnam War and Desert Storm. He was self-employed as a painter. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Angela Marie (Malcom) Hunter, Versailles; a son, Jeff (Joy) Farmer, Versailles; a sister, Alice Farmer Bennett, Corbin; five grandchildren, Kayla King, Emily King, Austin King, Paxton Farmer and Ridge Farmer; and two great-grandchildren, Ethan Hisle and Carver Holland. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. today, Thursday, Sept. 19, at Camp Nelson National Cemetery, Nicholasville. Pallbearers will be Austin King, Paxton Farmer, Michael Bennett, Malcom Hunter, Will Selby and Brent Farmer. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Woodford County Humane Society.
