Centre College The following students from Woodford County were named to the Dean’s List for the winter/spring term at Centre College: Holly Couch, Natalie Hagan, Pete Hagan, Shelby Hammonds, Susan Hammonds, Peyton Popp, Kate Spencer, Maggie Sunseri and Jessie Turner. Western Kentucky University Josie Coyle, of Versailles, has been one of 27 students selected for the Chinese Language Flagship Program at Western Kentucky University. The 27 new students begin their study of Chinese at WKU with the goal of reaching a Superior level of professional proficiency before they graduate. To attain this challenging goal, students participate in multiple domestic and international intensive language programs, including a year of study and a professional internship in Nanjing, China or Taipei, Taiwan. Students who complete the program will receive national certification of their language proficiency by the National Security Education Program and enjoy a peer network to support them in their future academic and professional pursuits.
