Death Café in Woodford County
The first quarterly gathering of Death Café in Woodford County will be held Sunday, Oct. 27, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the Community Room of the Woodford County Library on Main Street in Versailles. There is no fee and all gatherings are open to the public. Death Café is not associated with any other organization. Death Café is an international program which gathers people together to provide an opportunity to explore hopes, fears, concerns and questions about death and dying in a respectful, private, confidential space. There is no intention of leading people to any conclusion, product or course of action, just the opportunity to talk with others about a subject that is often difficult to talk about with friends and family. This is not a support or grief group. There is no fee and light refreshments will be served. The library is handicapped accessible. For more information about Death Café, go to www.DeathCafe.com, or see our local organization’s Fackbook page Death Café in Woodford County. Reservations are recommended, as we would appreciate the opportunity to be prepared to make our guests comfortable.
