Langford

Herland “High Pockets” Langford, 86, widower of Edith Jones Langford, died Wednesday Nov. 6, 2019, at his home. Born on Aug. 28, 1933, in Liberty, he was the son of the late Elmer and Lennie Woodrum Langford. He was a retired carpenter. Survivors include two children, Robin Phillips, Frankfort; and Bobby (Melissa) Langford, Versailles; four step-children, Jerry (Lou) Bowman, Lawrenceburg; Dottie (Joe) Karsner, Frankfort; Allen (Lisa) Bowman and Wanda (Bobby) Stewart, both of Versailles; a brother, Lewell (Rita) Langford, Versailles; and 10 grandchildren, Crystal Warfield, Jason Hammonds, Cameron Hammonds, Gretchen Warfield, Piper Warfield, Charles Smith, Shannon Smith, Peyton Warfield, Tristen Warfield and Xavier Harmon. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Christine Phelps; and a brother, Bobby Langford. Services were held Saturday, Nov. 9, at Blackburn and Ward Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Greg Garner, Tony Bobbitt, Cameron Hammonds, Jason Hammonds, Greg Warfield and Timmy Collins. Honorary pallbearers were John McKinney, Charlie Smith, Charles Smith, Martin Bowman and Robert Bowman. Burial followed in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Frankfort.
