Thanksgiving closings

The following offices will be closed or have special hours for Thursday, Nov. 28, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. The Woodford Sun will be open until noon Wednesday, Nov. 27, and be closed Thursday and Friday. The offices will reopen at 8:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 2. The Versailles and Midway city governments will be closed Nov. 28 and 29. Central Ky. Hauling will not pick up city garbage on Thanksgiving Day. Service will run one day behind this week. Rumpke Sanitation garbage collection will take place as usual on Thursday. The Woodford County Courthouse and Annex will close at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27, and will remain closed until Monday, Dec. 2. The Woodford County Library and the Midway branch will be closed Nov. 28 and 29. The Woodford County Recycling Center will be closed Nov. 27, 28, and 29, and will reopen Monday, Dec. 2. The Versailles Post Office will be closed on Thanksgiving, and there will be no mail delivery. Woodford County schools will be closed Nov. 27, 28, and 29. All Woodford County banks will be closed on Thanksgiving, as will the Greater Kentucky Credit Union. The Woodford County Health Department will be closed Nov. 28 and 29. Falling Springs Arts and Recreation Center will be closed Thanksgiving day and will reopen on Nov. 29. The recreation center offices will be closed Nov. 28 and 29.
