Craig

Arthur W. Craig, 75, husband of Patricia Hall Craig, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2019, at his home in Versailles. Son of the late William H. and Ernie Brandenburg Craig, he was born in LaGrange on Sept. 5, 1944. A 1962 graduate of Versailles High School, he earned a bachelor’s degree from Pikeville College and his master’s degree from the University of Kentucky. He was the Director of the State Approving Agency for Veteran’s Education, KCTCS, and was a faithful member of Versailles Presbyterian Church. Art is survived by his wife of 52 years, Pat; a daughter, Hallie (Joe D.) Craig Gibson, Lexington; a grandson, Elijah Craig Gibson, Lexington; sister-in-law, Joyce Craig, Versailles; and sister and brother-in-law, Michelle and James England, Pikeville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Alma Craig Mount; and brother, Charles Craig. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at the Versailles Presbyterian Church with Rev. Keith Benze officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Versailles Presbyterian Church or the Lexington Catholic Action Center.
