Jaeckels

David L. Jaeckels, 87, of Versailles, passed away at home on Monday, Nov. 25, 2019. David was born in Kansas City, MO, thereafter, spending much of his life in Wisconsin. He proudly served in the U.S Army during the Korean conflict. David’s talents led him to careers as professional photographer, instructional designer, and marketing and communications professional. During his lifetime, David was an avid hunter, excellent marksman, aviation enthusiast, creative woodworker and a lifelong Packers fan. He loved the thrill of motorcycling and flying and obtained his pilot’s license at 50. Most recently, he enjoyed crafting WWII aircraft models, range target shooting and growing succulents. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Linder; three children, David Jr. (Karen) Jaeckels, Jim (Nancy) Jaeckels, and Ann (Tom) Cain; five grandchildren (spouse/fiances), two great-grandchildren; and dog and loyal companion,Greta. To honor David’s wishes, there will be a Happy Hour Celebration of Life from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, at MC’s Parties and Events,133 Macey Blvd, Versailles. A moment of remembrance and prayer will be observed at 6 pm.
