Minor critically injured by vehicle

Woodford Sun Staff Report The person struck and critically injured by a motor vehicle on the U.S. 60 Bypass Sunday night was a minor, according to Woodford EMS Director Freeman Bailey. According to the Versailles Police Department, officers were called to the scene at about 8:21 p.m. to find a single vehicle with one occupant had “collided with a pedestrian.” The pedestrian was treated at the scene by Woodford County EMS personnel and taken to UK Chandler Hospital. As of press time, the person was in critical condition, Bailey said. Because of the New Year’s Day holiday, the Sun went to press Monday afternoon.
