Howard to run for Senate District 7

Katie Howard, a business leader and community advocate, seeks the State Senate District 7 seat, which serves Woodford County. Howard’s vast business experience includes vice-president of operations with Ameritech, church membership director, real estate broker, managing her family’s remodeling business and board member of Lamp & Light Ministries. “The state Senate needs a leader who has the experience to hit the ground running,” said Howard. “I am a proven problem-solver who can bring diverse ideas together to address our most pressing problems.” Howard is most interested in the development of a skilled workforce and attracting high paying jobs to the area. “This emphasis starts with our young people, equipping them to pursue their dreams,” she said. Howard has been involved in community service over 25 years, managing Open Hands Food Pantry, and working with the homeless. Howard is active in civic organizations, teaches Bible study and is president of Anderson County Republican Women. “I look forward to getting to know more residents of Woodford County,” said Howard. “I will be holding a listening session at the Woodford Library Jan. 23 from 4 to 6 p.m. Drop by and let’s talk.” For more information go to Katie@KatieHowardforSenate.com or visit Howard’s Facebook page.
