  • MONTEZ MOORE: The Midway freshman captured conference Indoor Field Athlete of the Week honors for the second week in a row.

  • WCHS TRACK: Several Yellow Jackets competed Saturday in the Wildcat Track Classic at the University of Kentucky, with two WCHS students placing near the top of the standings. Senior WKU commit Allison Ferguson finished second in the pole vault with a height of 11 feet. Callie Gormley placed eighth in the long jump.

  • WCHS BASKETBALL: Led by Coach Makayla Epps, the Lady Yellow Jackets JV team is 12-3 on the season.

  • WCHS TENNIS: Spring sports are just around the corner. The Racket Jackets’ first practice is scheduled for Monday.

  • MIDWAY WOMEN’S BASKETBALL: The Lady Eagles have won five straight and are 19-5 heading into the final three weeks of the regular season. Midway is atop the River States Conference’s west division standings.

  • WCHS SPORTS: Wrestling regionals at Oldham County, swimming and diving regionals at Falling Springs and a basketball district double-header at The Hive are all scheduled for Friday.
