Hundley named interim principal at Northside

Woodford County Middle School assistant Principal Scott Hundley has been named interim principal at Northside Elementary School, schools Superintendent Scott Hawkins said Tuesday. Hawkins said Hundley’s leadership experience at WCMS and the success that school has had made him “a very, very good choice” to continue the work of Northside Principal Ryan Asher, who has been named interim chief academic officer for the remainder of the school year. Hawkins said he anticipates that Hundley will begin his duties at Northside Elementary Monday. Depending on what happens with Asher beyond this year, Hawkins said that may create a need to hire a permanent successor after the school year. Hundley, who has been employed by Woodford County Public Schools for almost 10 years, was introduced as the interim principal to Northside’s faculty and staff Tuesday after school, Hawkins said. “They were extremely excited,” he said of their reaction. “People are familiar with him and who he is,” he added.
