Gail Abrams Wilson, 83, wife of Bobby Gene Wilson, died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2020. Born on Dec. 21, 1936, in Woodford County, she was the daughter of the late Turp and Ann Vandenburg Abrams. She was a 1955 graduate from Versailles High School; a member of Southside Christian Church, Versailles; and a retired bus driver from Woodford County Schools. In addition to her husband of 64 years, she is survived by three daughters, Nora (Eddie) Hartley, Annie G. Wilson and June (David) Barbour; a son, David (Susan) Wilson; and a daughter-in-law, Ann Wilson, all of Versailles; three sisters-in-law, Marie Currens, Lawrenceburg; Mary Abney, Nicholasville; and Peggy Sutherland, Versailles; a brother-in-law, Jesse Wilson, Versailles; eight grandchildren, Matthew (Lindsay) Wilson, Kristy (Derek) Couch, Allison (Mark) Willoughby, Julia (Peter) Hayman, Joshua (Rebecca) Wilson, Amber (Matthew) McCoy, Tara Barbour, all of Versailles; and Jessica (Jordan) Johnson, Lawrenceburg; and two step-grandchildren, Tammy Hartley and David Hartley, both of Lawrenceburg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Bobby Gene Wilson Jr. and Ray Wilson; a sister, Mildred Abrams Elsten; and two brothers, Joe Abrams and Harry Abrams. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 14, at Southside Christian Church, Versailles. Pallbearers are Matthew Wilson, Joshua Wilson, Peter Hayman, Derek Couch, Mark Willoughby, Matthew McCoy, Jordan Johnson and David Wilson. Honorary pallbearers are Ricky Ditmore, D.J. Wilson, Johnny Sutherland, Keith Smith, Charles Currens, Gary Abney, Tim Ditmore, Larry Ditmore, Michael Currens, Carl Abney, Gerald Abney and Tristian Wilson. Interment will follow in Rose Crest Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. today, Thursday, Feb. 13, at the church.
