Geneva Berger Harris, 81, widow of William “Billy” J. Harris, died Friday, Feb. 21, 2020, at Lexington Country Place. Born on Oct. 6, 1938, in Estill County, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Lena Chaney Berger. She retired from Rand McNally and was a member of Versailles Church God. Survivors include three children, Wayne (Brenda) Harris, Debbie (Mark) McCord and Lana (Michael) Thomas, all of Versailles; five grandchildren, Chris Harris, Laini (Brian)Traugott, Callie Thomas, Kendall (Mark) Agee and Colby (Austin) Baker; a great-grandson, Liam Traugott; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by eight brothers, Chester, Tom, Ray, Rex, Shelby, Shelton, Wilt Berger and Price McIntosh, and five sisters, Bessie Wilson, Goldie Sames, Pauline Foley, Sammie Hollingsworth and Lillie Antrobus. Services were conducted Tuesday, Feb. 25, at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home, by the Rev. Frank Layne. Pallbearers were Chris Harris, Michael Thomas, Mark Agee, Austin Baker, Steve Childers and Bobby Foley. Interment followed in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
