Doris Frances Neal Moye passed away peacefully with family by her side on Sunday, March 29, 2020, at the age of 99 years. Beloved Nana to her grandchildren and many others who knew her, Doris was born on March 20, 1921, in Versailles, to Harry Caspar Neal and Julia Belle Stypes. She was a lifelong resident of Versailles and was incredibly proud of her family, her heritage and her hometown. Doris was predeceased by her devoted husband, Horace; and all seven of her siblings, Alice, Morris, Milton, Kirkland, Jeanne, Mary and Patsy. She is survived by her daughter, Gwen (Bill) Tippie; her stepdaughter, Debbie (Fred) Pruitt; and her grandchildren, Guy (Aimee) Evans and Heather (Nathan) Holbrook. All whom loved her, loved her dearly, and will never forget her strength, tenacity, determination, wit, gift for conversation, charm, loyalty and undying love, commitment and caring for them. Special thanks to Valerie Mays, Shirley Casey, Opal Miller and the many individuals at The Homeplace at Midway and Daisy Hill Senior Living for the loving care when she most needed it. Services will be held by family privately at Clark Funeral Home followed by burial in Versailles Cemetery. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. Donations to the Alzheimer’s Association and the Woodford County Historical Society would be gratefully appreciated.
