District Court Woodford District Court held a special jail docket March 23 with Judge Mary Jane Phelps presiding. Misdemeanor Assault, fourth-degree, domestic violence (minor injury) – Everto T. Mendoza, 1685 Aiken Road, 31 days, serve one day with balance probated for two years.

Police Reports Versailles police responded to one vehicle accident involving injuries, seven non-injury accidents, two domestic-related complaints and made one arrest. On March 23 at 10:19 a.m, a Ford Explorer driven by Gordon W. Brandenburg, 49, of Salvisa, was eastbound on Lexington Road in the left lane with a Nissan Altima driven by Kayla E. Clark, 29, of Bardstown, ahead of him. Brandenburg told police he saw the Altima’s brake light and thought it was slowing, then realized it had stopped. Brandenburg’s vehicle rear-ended Clark’s. Clark told police she had stopped to make a U-turn. Woodford County EMS personnel responded to the crash. On March 29, police made an arrest on Pisgah Pike for receiving stolen property involving a Ford F-150 worth $10,000. On March 28, harassing communications was reported at a home on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. On March 28, a teller window of a Lexington Road bank was reported vandalized, with damage estimated at $600. On March 19, $825 in cash was reported stolen from the McDonald’s on Green Gables Drive. On March 25, a chain link fence at a Bryanwood Drive home was reported vandalized. On March 26, a cabin on Foraker Road was reported vandalized, with damage estimated at $300. On March 19, a steel door of a Curry Court home was reported vandalized, with damage estimated at $500. On March 24, theft by deception (includes cold checks) involving $1,650 was reported at a home on Westridge Court. On March 25, receiving stolen property involving a 2001 Honda Odyssey was reported on Falling Springs Boulevard. On March 24, a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer worth $2,400 was reported stolen on Troy Pike.

Fire Reports City Firefighters made six EMS assists from March 24 to March 30. On March 26, they responded to a sprinkler activation caused by a broken pipe at Quad/Graphics. On March 28, they responded to an illegal burn on Walnut Street.

County Firefighters made one EMS assist from March 24 to March 30. On March 25, they responded to two false alarms at the VCA Woodford Animal Hospital. On March 26, they checked controlled burns on Woodlark, Juniper and South Hill roads.

Wesbanco vs. Lewis Ready, et al., for $24,099.56 claimed due on a debt.
